I can't offer much personalized advice without doing a proper consultation, which would include seeing photos of the area. You can sign up for a consult with me by selecting the "Piercing Problem Consultation" link from the "Consultations" navigation link at the top of the page.
As far as reducing the visibility of your scar, you may want to try one of the scar reduction products mentioned in my book, or ask your pharmacist for a suggestion. Elayne

Thanks for your posting in my guestbook. I’d need to do an online consultation to determine which piercings you’re anatomically suited for. I would be happy to evaluate your anatomy, even if you plan to go to another piercer. To sign up for a consultation, please visit this page: http://www.piercingbible.com/anatomy-consultations
In 2016, I’ll be working in L.A. in July, and in Philadelphia in September, but I haven’t set the exact dates for either trip yet. I will be announcing the details at the end of March. I may also be working in New Orleans toward the end of October or beginning of November.
If you haven't already and would like to be notified when I make travel plans, please sign up for my newsletter by typing your email address into the box at the top of the right column on any page of my sieverte: http://piercingbible.com It is an "opt-in" list, so I can't add you myself.
Please visit this page for more detailed information about booking an appointment with me: http://www.piercingbible.com/appointments
If you don’t want to wait for me, or won’t be able to make it to one of the locations where I’ll be piercing, you can go here for my piercer referrals: http://piercingbible.com/piercer-referrals

Thanks for your message. Though the form on the CONTACT page is a better forum for questions.
To sign up for an anatomy consultation so I can check your suitability, please visit this page: http://www.piercingbible.com/anatomy-consultations
All of my piercer referrals are posted on this page of my website: http://piercingbible.com/piercer-referrals
If I haven't personally worked with or trained any piercers in your area, you can check the website for a member of the Association of Professional Piercers who is local to you:
The APP is a non-profit international organization dedicated to disseminating vital health and safety information about piercing to piercers, piercees, medical professionals, legislators, and the general public. The piercers are not "certified" by the association, however. While some of the piercers on the list may have taken my seminars at the annual APP conferences, I still wouldn't consider them to have been "trained by me," as those courses only last a few hours and aren't sufficient for providing a thorough education. Please meet the piercer and see if you develop a good rapport and if they inspire your confidence.
The best thing I can suggest to help you make good decisions about piercing is to become a more well-educated consumer. If you found my website informative, I think you'll be amazed by all of the valuable facts and practical advice in my book, The Piercing Bible--The Definitive Guide to Safe Body Piercing. It contains loads of information about evaluating piercers and studios, piercing placements, appropriate body jewelry sizes, styles, and materials, aftercare, troubleshooting, and much, much more. My website contains just barely a taste of the information in my book!

Thanks for your positive comments! I'm happy to hear that you learned so much from my book. You definitely have the right to decline to pierce infants and children. I cover this topic on page 251 in The Piercing Bible. Here's an excerpt from that section:
I will perform piercings only on individuals who specifically consent to the act and agree to comply with maintenance procedures during healing. Obviously, this includes declining to pierce babies or toddlers who are too young to grasp the situation—and all animals, of course. I will pierce the earlobes of a child who is old enough to knowingly make the request for it. He or she must also comprehend the need to keep dirty fingers away during healing and promise to abide by my instructions, usually with a parent’s help. Many of my colleagues share my standards, though some are more accommodating, and others even stricter.
