This is a continuation of my discussion from my previous blog post about stretching a Prince Albert piercing:
How or what does migration look/feel like? The stretch was done by the piercer who did the PA. It felt like a lot of pressure for a very brief second when it was stretched last week. I did not see the blood until I peed and like I said it was very little. They used a horseshoe about a 1" I am guessing. I normally wear underwear. I had some crusting the first couple of days but that is all over with. I did soak it the first couple of days after the stretch. It easily moves in the shower. I wanted a barbell for the stretch but they were out. The original piercing was done Nov 1st last year.
Thank you for your help.

If you would like to listen to a new interview with me, you can hear it here.
Me and my friends Dirk and Princess Zoe at The Fetish Show had a great time recording it recently. We talk about all sorts of piercings and more.
Be aware that it is fetish show, and not only about piercing. So if you're into piercing, but not otherwise open minded, then you might not appreciate the show.
If you have an open mind, then check it out!

I received a message from a reader of The Piercing Bible who wanted me to evaluate the placement of his apadravya piercing:
Hello, I recently purchased a copy of The Piercing Bible and I have to say that you have done an amazing job with it. I have read it from cover to cover and it has helped me immensely in choosing what kid of modifications I want, and how I want them done. Also, your body is an amazing work of art.
I'm way off topic but I felt like that had to be said. I recently had an apadravya done to celebrate my 18th birthday. I was wondering I could send you a picture and get your opinion on it. I would greatly appreciate it. Here are pictures of my piercing. I can't think you enough for looking at these for me. I have to request that you be as critical as possible.
The extra long bar was put in for healing purposes. I am having a smaller bar put in in a week. It will fit snug on the top and bottom like it's supposed to. Thank you for your time.

I received a message from a reader with a question about a certain style of body jewelry:
in your book under the male pubic piercing section it says to use a captive circular barbell for this piercing and i really like the idea. is this a piece i will have to make or do you know where to buy them as i cannot find them anywhere. Steve
Any studio that sells circular barbells and captive beads should be able to put one together for you.
It is a design I invented by combining those two ordinary body jewelry items! It is just a matter of finding the right size captive bead, and sometimes adjusting the gap between the circular barbell balls by slightly narrowing or widening the ring. It is super easy to do for anyone who is familiar with body jewelry.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Awsome, thank you. I really appreciate your help and love your book. I really enjoy knowing what to expect and how procedures are supposed to go along with proper placement. My peircer and I always talk about everything before we begin and I like that what he says almost always mimics your book.

Below is my exchange with a piercee who received an iron cross (apadravya + ampallang) piercing:
I recently got an ampallang piercing to complete a magic cross. I think the placement is good and that the piecer did a good job. But I would like that to be evaluated.
Also, I have an ileostomy. Though the bag is very clean, it can bump up against the side of the piercing. I have been salt soaking 4 times a day (every time I empty my bag) and washing with antibacterial gel soap twice a day. The piercing, now about a week old, has stopped bleeding. I kept this routine up for about a month on my apadravya which had the same problem and healed perfectly. I cleared this routine with a doctor before each piercing. My question is does an ampallang have a longer, shorter or the same healing time as an apadravya. My apadravya bled for a week. But the ampallang only bled for a few hour.
I can send pictures if that would help you evaluate things. Thanks, M.
If the ampallang passes through your urethra, then it would be expected to take about the same amount of time to heal as the apadravya. If your ampallang does not pass through your urethra, then it could be expected to take longer to heal than the apadravya. They are both subject to bleeding when new, but the apadravya is apt to bleed more than the ampallang, so all of that sounds normal.
You just need to watch for trauma from the jewelry hitting the bag, as impact can delay healing and cause problems like excess scar tissue formation.
I hope you heal well and enjoy!

I received an urgent message for help today from a young man who had received a Prince Albert piercing a few days prior. He wrote:
Hi my name is D., I am writing to you because my girlfriend received a VCH from you and highly recommends you. I just received a Prince Albert piercing on Friday March 19, 2011. I stopped bleeding the next day but, yesterday I noticed that I was extremely swollen on my foreskin. It hurts a bit. Not really sure what I should do because the person I went to is currently on vacation. Can you give me any tips on how to make the swelling go down?
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my email.
I asked him to send photos, which he did.
Upon seeing the pictures, I advised him to head to the Emergency Room immediately. I recognized the condition called paraphimosis--swelling of the foreskin. In his case it was caused by the foresking being retracted for too long. Sometimes the fluid build-up needs to be drained before the foreskin can be replaced.
About his visit to the ER, he said:

I'm back home after a long but successful trip. I attended a Board meeting for the Association of Professional Piercers, did piercings in Atlanta and Philadelphia, and shot a segment for The Learning Channel about erotic piercings.
In Atlanta I performed 53 piercings on 31 clients over 3 days. They came from Alabama, Florida, Illinois, South Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Georgia (of course), and Ontario, Canada to be pierced by me.
In Philadelphia, I performed 71 piercings on 50 clients over 4 days. They came to get pierced by me from Connecticut, Deleware, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia, Washington DC, and of course, Pennsylvania, plus Ontario, Canada! Wow!!
As usual, I did primarily female genital piercings--LOTS of VCH piercings, and a good number of triangles, too. I There were quite a few women who got both, while we were at it. I also did a few inner labia piercings and a fourchette or two. I did some male genital piercings too, including an apadravya, some frenums, and a lorum. I did a number of nipple piercings, including one woman who had inverted nipples when she arrived, and very perky non-inverted nipples when she left. She was so delighted--I completely cured her inverted nipples!
I told a good friend of mine about my trip. She is a really great woman, a writer who is also an American living in the Yucatan. She wrote to me:
