I received this message from a reader in Malta!
Hi, my name is B. and I'm from Malta, since I've bought your book you have become my idol. I love piercings, something that you don't find very often in Malta due to a bad reputations, originating from piercees who haven't had a good piercing and weren't instructed properly on aftercare, this is because in Malta we do not have any real piercers, the ones we have are tattoo artists who took up piercing just for financial income.
I would really like to be a piercer one day, I've only had an apprenticeship from my girlfriend which is from Germany, right now I'm not able to go abroad to atend any courses or conventions due to financial difficulties as I'm using my salary to buy the necessary needs for a piercing studio.
I would really like to read a book wrote by you targeting piercers rather then piercees.
Kind Regards, B.

I got this message in my YouTube inbox:
Hi Ms Angel. I got a piercing from you a very long time ago when I was 18. Now at age 31 I wouldn't trust anyone to pierce me but you. I have only ever known about you Rings of Desire location because I am from New Orleans. I am currently residing in Houston Texas but I am willing to travel to get a piercing by you. Where are you currently piercing if you still are and do you travel and pierce at different studios? Thank you for your consideration.

I think I'm blushing again over this recent message:
Your book is amazing!! I took it out from the library and read it cover to cover before realizing I NEEDED my own copy. I cried when I opened a signed copy on Christmas Day. The content is thorough and Incredibly well written, and it was inspiring to me, being a young woman trying to break into the industry, to know it was written by a woman who has a lot of history in the Piercing World. I have never met you Elayne, but I know you inspire and amaze many people (including myself) with your hard work, knowledge and dedication.

I got some GREAT feedback about my book from a piercer:
First off i want to start by thanking you for everything you do for the piercing industry, i have been making piercings for almost five years, and i just wanted to tell you that you make me strive to be the best piercer i can be. ive read your book cover to cover like fifty times, it changed the way i pierce, and think about piercings. just wanted to thank you for everything.
Wow! Thanks so much for the fantastic feedback. I am absolutely thrilled to hear that my book has had such a big impact on your work! And I appreciate you letting me know.
If you have any questions that weren't answered in my book, feel free to ask!
Did you know I write a monthly magazine column too? There are free archives available of all the columns I've written for Pain Magazine (answering piercing questions) are here. My article is usually on page 16.
You can also get a free subscription to your studio by requesting it through that website.
Additionally, I have videos available if you want to see me piercing: http://clips4sale.com/10557 (They're not "how-to" videos, per se, but they do show a lot of information, too!) I think you would enjoy them.
I teach every year at the annual conference for the Association of Professional Piercers. You don't have to be a member to attend: http://www.safepiercing.org/conference/

I received this wonderful message as a posting on the Piercing Bible guestbook:
I really can't describe how good it feels to have found your website. I've
been interested in body modification for a few years now and though I have
only a few piercings, it's people like you who inspire me to treat my body as
a work of art. It makes me proud to have such a strong woman like yourself
representing the body mod community in such positive light.
Thank you so much for giving me such a positive role model. You give me
strength to remember who I am and not let society tell me what is and isn't
acceptable and normal. Perhaps one day you'll come to New Zealand and I'll
get the opportunity to be pierced by you.
Stay gorgeous, gorgeous.
Maybe some day I will come to New Zealand. I have some friends/colleagues at Streetwise Body Piercing and Tattooing in Auckland. I hope to visit and maybe do some piercings! If you want to stay up to date with my travels, sign up for my free newsletter (in the box in the left lower corner of this page).
