I got this from a gentleman in Scotland who purchased my book:
Thank you for writing such a fabulous book ~ can't put it down. It is informative and easy read, H.
I bought your book. Wow, I knew it would be very informative, but I wasn't expecting such depth. It is definitely aptly titled. I'm glad I got it.
Thanks for all the info, I'll join the mailing list.
Have a great weekend,
Hey there Elayne, i just want to say congratulations on such an amazing book. My name is Eden, i am a professional body piercer from New Zealand. So informative, exactly what is needed in the industry, thanks again for the great read and again, well done :-)

This one is on the border between personal and business, but I was so touched by it, I've decided to share it on my blog. It is from one of my best friends, who is a writer. She sent it to me after I told her about my successful piercing visits to Atlanta and Philadelphia:

I received this message from a FaceBook friend:
Stephen says, "Hello Elayne, I know I don't know you personally, however after reading your book.it seems like I do now. im a tattoo artist in ontario canada, and im currently apprenticing to add piercings to my repertoire. however im very pasonate about adding as much knowledge to any field that I persue. and I can honestly say your book covers it all. wow!!! seriously. well done , thank you for taking the time to put this amount of knowledge out there. this book should be standard reading before anyone even thinks of starting a carreer in the body modification industry. the reason for my message Elayne is that I take my job very seriously and care very much about my clients and want to give them my best. I.m always trying to add the best people in the industry to my list of friends as support to show that I'm always learning and helping them with their best interest. I would be very honored if you would add me to your circle of friends. perhaps we'll meet at a convention some day. thanks Elayne, you have really lit a fire under me to be great at this. take care... s.s."

I think I'm blushing again over this recent message:
Your book is amazing!! I took it out from the library and read it cover to cover before realizing I NEEDED my own copy. I cried when I opened a signed copy on Christmas Day. The content is thorough and Incredibly well written, and it was inspiring to me, being a young woman trying to break into the industry, to know it was written by a woman who has a lot of history in the Piercing World. I have never met you Elayne, but I know you inspire and amaze many people (including myself) with your hard work, knowledge and dedication.

I got some GREAT feedback about my book from a piercer:
First off i want to start by thanking you for everything you do for the piercing industry, i have been making piercings for almost five years, and i just wanted to tell you that you make me strive to be the best piercer i can be. ive read your book cover to cover like fifty times, it changed the way i pierce, and think about piercings. just wanted to thank you for everything.
Wow! Thanks so much for the fantastic feedback. I am absolutely thrilled to hear that my book has had such a big impact on your work! And I appreciate you letting me know.
If you have any questions that weren't answered in my book, feel free to ask!
Did you know I write a monthly magazine column too? There are free archives available of all the columns I've written for Pain Magazine (answering piercing questions) are here. My article is usually on page 16.
You can also get a free subscription to your studio by requesting it through that website.
Additionally, I have videos available if you want to see me piercing: http://clips4sale.com/10557 (They're not "how-to" videos, per se, but they do show a lot of information, too!) I think you would enjoy them.
I teach every year at the annual conference for the Association of Professional Piercers. You don't have to be a member to attend: http://www.safepiercing.org/conference/

I received this wonderful message as a posting on the Piercing Bible guestbook:
I really can't describe how good it feels to have found your website. I've
been interested in body modification for a few years now and though I have
only a few piercings, it's people like you who inspire me to treat my body as
a work of art. It makes me proud to have such a strong woman like yourself
representing the body mod community in such positive light.
Thank you so much for giving me such a positive role model. You give me
strength to remember who I am and not let society tell me what is and isn't
acceptable and normal. Perhaps one day you'll come to New Zealand and I'll
get the opportunity to be pierced by you.
Stay gorgeous, gorgeous.
Maybe some day I will come to New Zealand. I have some friends/colleagues at Streetwise Body Piercing and Tattooing in Auckland. I hope to visit and maybe do some piercings! If you want to stay up to date with my travels, sign up for my free newsletter (in the box in the left lower corner of this page).

I received this message from a someone on Facebook who wanted to be Friends:
Hello Mrs. Angel,

I have a huge interest in the field of piercing and have began reading your book and I must say it is the most informitive cool book I have ever read on the subject and I was woundering if you would be interested in being a friend of mine onFacebook?
Thanks for the positive feedback; I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying my book!
Of course--let's be friends!
He wrote again with one of the cutest statements made by anyone who has given me positive feedback about The Piercing Bible:
I'm more than enjoying your book. I LOVE your book! It's something I can't put down. My wife even gets mad at me for being soaked in to it; she calls it "the other woman."

I just got some fantastic feedback from a reader:
Dear Miss Elayne Angel,
I realize you must get this a lot, as we 'modified' folk hold you in such high reguard, but thank you very much for your book, "The Piercing Bible". It's made my experiences getting pierced liberating, educated, and empowering. I feel SO much more confident with the decisions I've made because of your shared knowledge. I want to thank you again and again for your time and effort in the industry, and your willingness to spread the word, and celebrate self expression.
A big fan. I hope to follow your adventures wherever they may take you :)
I'll admit, that put a smile on my face for the whole day. It makes the effort that went into writing my book all worthwhile.
