That's a pretty great quote from a wonderful and thoughtful review of The Piercing Bible. This was another 5-star review that was recently posted on Amazon.com. To date, as of June 3, 2015, there are 157 reviews of my book with a 5-star average!

Here is a GREAT review of The Piercing Bible that I found posted on the Barnes and Noble website. I always feel especially delighted to hear that my book was interesting to people who were not actually into body piercing:
The Piercing Bible is a fascinating book, even for people who have never considered piercing

THE STORY: Tattoos That Ruin Food
A manager at a restaurant in Kansas City was let go because of her tattoos, piercings and stretched ears. Her boss hired her with her tattoos and piercings, but two customers had complained saying it created an “unpleasant atmosphere.” So, her friends came up with a creative way to save her job…. A flash mob on social media.
For one week, the manager’s friends ran ads on Facebook recruiting friends, families and customers to like a page called, “Support Tattoos and Piercings at Work.” The plan was to gather people together, and on the following Monday release her bosses’ work contact info. Upon release friends, family and customers were instructed to ONLY tell the boss why they appreciated the manager’s character and to say thanks for hiring people in the past with tattoos and piercings. Strict instructions were given that no one should say anything negative, or it would defeat everyone else’s efforts. Monday arrived and over 500 people contacted the boss and well before the 500th person the manager got her job back.

A while back, I received some correspondence and samples of a new aftercare spray, "Formula 1138" from the company's founder, Dan Terry. He provided me with some very interesting technical and scientific information about the liquid, and it clarified that this is something different from any other aftercare product I've seen or used. He says Formula 1138 is all-natural, safe, and non-toxic. One of the active ingredients, HOCL, is a biocide that does not break down cellular tissue and only works to eradicate pathogens.
I have put it on cuts and scrapes to excellent effect, though haven't had any healing piercings to try it on personally. Dan has done a successful year-long study on its use in piercing aftercare with 250 clients. I have been intrigued by Dan's product and asked him to talk about it in his own words....

Amazing review on Google Books that I hadn't seen before:
To call this book "the definitive guide" is an understatement. This book shall remain the definitive guide for the next hundred years. As a piercee and a piercer I can say with honesty that there is nothing that I know that isn't in this book. Against it's intended use, this book is an invaluable tool for any body piercer to further hone their skills and gain a better understanding of many details that commonly get ignored in the industry.
Everyone considering a body piercing should read this book. Knowledge is power, and knowing better what to expect when walking into a piercing studio will ensure a quality piercing that you can enjoy for the rest of your life. The savvy acquired from reading this book will help you recognize good, clean studios from sub par, inexperienced ones, which could potentially save your life.
The author has a very straight forward presentation of her decades of accrued data. There are no frills or fluff in this book. She lays everything out directly with a subtle wit shining through that made me chuckle dozens of times.
