Radio Interview

I was interviewed by Darklady on her show "Sexpose" on Radio Dentata in August. Today I finally got the link to the podcast. We talk about my personal history, the body piercing industry, genital piercings, The Piercing Bible, and much more! Check it out here.

Clitoris Pumping with a VCH Piercing?

I received a piercing-related question that I hadn't heard before:

I got a VCH piercing two weeks ago and was just wondering if you know anything about clit pumping after a piercing? I've looked on the web but can't find anything about it. Sincerly, Sarah

My response: Hi Sarah, You'd certainly need to wait for a few months before attempting any pumping as it puts a rather intense pressure on the tissue. The piercing should be very well healed. Obviously you need to have a pump that fits over the jewelry to get a good seal--but that shouldn't be an issue is you're wearing average-sized jewelry. Have you done pumping previously? If so, then you already should have familiarity with how it feels and how the process works. So you'd just need to add some awareness of your piercing and if there is any soreness or discomfort, you should ease up or stop.

Piercer Charged with "Inappropriate Touching"

October 17, 2009 Piercing-related news from New Zealand: http://www.stuff.co.nz/nelson-mail/news/2974784/Body-piercer-acquitted A piercer was charged with "inappropriate touching" of two female piercing clients but he was found not-guilty. I'd be very curious to find out the true story about this with all relevant details. I know that misunderstandings can occur when someone is new to body piercing. I once heard through the grapevine that a male client I performed a genital piercing on had misconstrued aspects of the cleaning/marking/piercing process and believed I'd had a personal interest in him! I was very shocked to hear that, but it helped me comprehend that the circumstances of a normal genital piercing, which involve touching and manipulation of the genitals, could result in a misunderstanding. That said, I'm sure I don't have an explanation for the part where the piercer (allegedly) put his hand down the pants of a girl who was getting body art on her hip?! But what was she doing getting work in a studio at the age of 16 anyway. Sounds like some strange behavior all the way around. Here's what the article said:

A French body piercer has been acquitted on charges of inappropriately touching two female Nelson clients. Vincent Jean Delebecque, 25, was facing three charges of indecent assault, two involving one woman and a third involving another.

He was last night acquitted by a jury after a two-day trial. The Crown had alleged that Delebecque touched the women inappropriately while working as a body piercer at Gizmos in Nelson. The Crown said Delebecque put his hand down a 16-year-old's pants while she was getting a piercing done in a tattoo on her hip in March, and that he indecently assaulted a 24-year-old woman who went to Gizmos to get her genitals pierced in April.

Nipple Piercing

I recently contributed an article about nipple piercing to a great website called the-clitoris.com. Previously I'd let them post information I'd written about female genital piercings. You can find the nipple piercing article here, and for convenience it is reprinted below:

Nipple Piercing

The contrast of metal jewelry through the flesh of a nipple is truly exotic and striking. Nipple piercing defines the region, frames the tissue, and makes the nipple stand at attention (though it doesn’t necessarily cause the nipple to remain erect at all times). Prior to the early 1990s, when navel piercings became popular, nipples were the most prevalent location for body piercings. Modern piercing enthusiasts—particularly in the gay and SM subcultures—explored the erotic potential of their bodies and started what has become the current style of nipple piercing. These days, people from all walks of life are experiencing the delights of this piercing. For some, it is simply an aesthetic preference or fashion statement; for others it reigns as a favorite in the realm of sexual and sensual pleasures.

APP Mexico City Seminars

I was out of town for the past week in Mexico City for the Association of Professional Piercers Seminars. It was the 4th annual seminar there, but the first one that I attended. Following the seminars, the Board of Directors had a meeting. It was a great trip and I really enjoyed Mexico City. I taught two classes there and participated in a round table discussion on piercing techniques (forceps vs. freehand). The first class was on Male Genital piercings and my co-instructor, Danny Yerna, led the class. I'd created a PowerPoint presentation for the class, and he and I had translated it into Spanish. I'm super excited and proud that I led the second class on Female Genital Piercings, and it was the first time I've ever taught a seminar in Spanish. I know my vocabulary is pretty good, but having learned from immersion (rather than in a classroom), my verbs are not conjugated properly, and I'm lacking a lot of the small connective words. But the important part is that the students said that I was clear and easy to understand. I'd sent 20 copies of The Piercing Bible to Mexico City, but between the shipping costs and duties that had to be paid, the cost came out higher than the cover price! Still, Danny (the APP International Liaison who organized the seminars and owns a studio in Mexico City) had sold them all before I even arrived! I wish I had a Spanish language version, as I know it would have sold very well there. Hopefully someday there will be versions in multiple languages!

Piercing Minors

Since long before any states had legislation to give piercers guidance, I always enforced a strong policy about piercing minors: Without exception, the parent or legal guardian must be present with the minor to sign the release form. Each party must have a valid photo ID* . If the parent's last name and/or address is different from the minor's, there must be legal documentation to prove the relationship. (Birth certificate, divorce papers, adoption papers, marriage certificate). Court papers are required to prove a relationship with a legal guardian. • I do not pierce minors below the neck with the exception of the navel. I will pierce earlobes only, on individuals between 12 and 16 years of age. •I will not pierce children under the age of 12. • If you are under 18 but legally married I can pierce you in the state of Louisiana. You need to bring your marriage license along with valid photo ID*. • If you are a legally emancipated minor I can pierce you in the state of Louisiana. You need to bring court papers along with a valid photo ID*. Some problems I have found with piercing minors:

Watch Video Clips of Me Performing Piercings If you want to watch  how I perform piercings, you can see me doing them in graphic detail here: http://clips4sale.com/10557. There's also a great video of me examining different configurations of female anatomy and describing which piercings are possible and where exactly they chould be placed. They aren't meant as "how-to" videos, but they do show a lot about how I do what I do.
