clitoris piercing

Surface VCH du Jour (With Photo)

Here it is, the surface VCH (Vertical Clitoral Hood) piercing of the day. This is not where the piercing should be placed! In fact, it is off by the piercing equivalent of MILES.

It was done by Tasha at Way of Ink, in Springfield VA. Naturally the piercee was quite upset. My advice was to ask for her money back and abandon the piercing, and to seek a more competent professional if she wants a properly placed piercing.

A Vertical Clitoral Hood (VCH) Surface Piercing

The photo below shows the "inverted-V" of the hood. The bottom ball should be coming out from under this location so the jewelry rests underneath the hood against the clitoris.

VCH (Clitoral Hood) piercing with "bubble"I got a message from a woman who was having some problems with her VCH piercing (which I did not perform for her--though this particular healing problem can crop up even when everything is done properly).

Hi Elayne, I'm having issues with my VCH piercing. It began after being agitated after sex (it seemed to be healing fine at the time). I noticed it stung sometimes when I sat down, sometimes when I walked. Upon closer examination, I noticed something that looks like an extra bit of skin under the top ball. I paid extra attention to it during cleaning, and noticed there was a bit of (off-white) discharge. I started doing soaks, the discharge went away, it stopped stinging, but the extra skin didn't go away. I did that for about 1.5 weeks.

This morning, I woke up and the discharge came back and it slightly stings again. I just did a soak... But I'm not sure what else to do.

In reading your book, I think it may be a keloid, but I'm not sure. Maybe an abscess (but I don't feel any hard localized mass). If it is a keloid, should it just be taken out? How can I be sure there's no infection still inside the piercing?

Yet ANOTHER Accidental Clitoris Piercing (Botched VCH) Hood Piercing

Argh! I received yet another message from a woman who went in requesting a vertical clitoral hood (VCH) piercing and ended up getting her hood pierced to her clitoral glans pierced due to visiting an unqualified, untrained piercer. She wrote:

Yet ANOTHER Accidental Clitoris Piercing (VCH requested)

I recently got a VCH piercing but I think its not placed right. As you can see the piercing does not come through the hood, the lower ball is too far down. When i got the piercing it was very painful and a lot of blood came out.

My reply:
I'm sure it was very painful, because that is NOT a hood piercing: YOU HAVE HAD YOUR CLITORIS PIERCED!

Your hood is actually pierced to your clitoris. You're going to need to take that out but you should talk to the owner of the business and get your money back.

Where did you get this done?

She wrote again:

I had thought it was pierced through that from the pain i went through.

I will try and remove it myself as i don't want to go back to the place that did it.
I got it done in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland.

I was going to go to a piercing shop in Belfast tomorrow to see if they would remove it for me, as I don't want to make it worse.

Another Accidental Clitoral Glans Piercing (With Photos)--FOLLOW-UP Added

I received this message from a woman who got a terribly botched genital piercing:

I just got a genital piercing done today and shortly after the piercing I noticed it looked a little bit off. I started doing some research and I can’t find any piercings that look like mine. The gentleman at Steel N Ink in Port Dover, Ontario, told me that it was a Christina piercing BUT from the research I did the Christina look s nothing like what he did for me.

He clearly had no idea what he was talking about. I had told him I wanted a vertical clit piercing and when we pulled up pictures online it was the vertical clit hood piercing that I wanted and I told him that was what I wanted done. I know very well what the VCH looks like and this looks nothing like it or the Christina either. Plus when I got the piercing I think he went right through my clit because I was practically screaming when I had it done. The clit should not be  piercing for a VCH but the end of the piercing should sit on the clit. This goes through the middle of the hood through the clit and out the bottom where I pee. So when I do urinate the ball on the bottm of the piercing gets urinated on ,I dont believe thats normal. Its like my hood is stapled over my clit and and through. Plus it wont stop bleeing. Its only bleeding a lil but its constant and my clit is very sensitve right now. lll send pictures, please help me.

Thank you.

A Shallow Vertical Clitoral Hood (VCH) Piercing With Photos

I received a message from a woman who had visited this site and she thought there was something not quite right with her VCH piercing:

I just got a vch piercing. While it seems to sit right I am concerned it is a bit too shallow.
I have attached some pictures, would you advice having it taken out/redone later?  Is there any way gauging up would help? (it is a small diameter at the moment.)

My reply:

The piercing is quite far away from the apex of your hood. If you would like to have a piercing that is further from the edge of your hood (where the VCH is optimally placed) then you should remove this jewelry and have it done by a different piercer.

If you're happy with it, you can heal it, but I would NOT advise stretching, since it is shallower the it should be (closer to the edge of your hood). Though what you're wearing looks unusually small from what I can see--or at least it doesn't look proportionate to your anatomy.

Bisected Clitoris (Following Piercing Problem)

I received a very interesting query from a woman who had her clitoris pierced many years prior and ended up with it bifurcated following an accident:

Hi Elayne,
In 94' Barb Pierce from Creative Tattoo in Ann Arbor pierced my clit and it healed very well. I had an accident a year later and it left my piercing slightly torn. I left it to heal and it began to regect. I then decided to bisect it my self with a scalpel, thinking that once the rejection started i wouldnt need to keep the halves separated for them to heal individually. I was correct. They healed and expanded a bit, became more sensitive.

So for the past 17 years I have never met another woman who has bisected her clit, so therefore I have also never heard of any woman piercing both halves. Each side is the size of a Qtip. I would like to know if you have ever seen/heard of this. I am interested in it, but I dont want to be a test pilot nor do I have a desire to have 4 clits! Lol!

I have looked online to educate myself, but found little to nothing on the bisecting or the piercing. I have spoken with piercers far and near, and No one has info. Some are willing to do the piercing, but i first need info on the piercing itself. There has to be some woman out there likeminded as I, who has bisected her clit and then pierced both halves! I need to be educated on this before I schedule this piercing. If anyone would know, I feel it would be you Elayne.
Thank you for you time and I do so look forward to your response.
Blessing, love, & light!

Translation of The Piercing Bible Website

I received the following message from someone interested in viewing my web page in another language:

I would like to print your webpage out (with photos) in Spanish. Is that possible? I have a female friend who would like to have her clitoris pierced, but she doesn't know English. She would very much be interested in the content of your information. HELP? R.

My reply:

HI R.,

If you go to this page http://piercingbible.com/female-genital-piercings
(or any page of my site) and look at the tool bar across the bottom of the browser, in addition to links to my Facebook page, Twitter page , and YouTube channel, one of the options will say "Translate." Click that and then select the language of your choice, and click on it.

Naturally, the translations won't be perfect, especially since the vocabulary for this topic is rather specialized--but it should help to make the content understandable.

In addition to the American English in which it is written, a translation of my website is available in the following languages: Chinese, Dutch, British English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish!

Thanks for your interest.
