New 2014 Piercing Trips Planned: Albuquerque, NM and Oklahoma City, OK

I've booked piercing tours in two new cities! Click the images below for more details and to learn how to make an appointment. (Hint: I'll need to know your preferred date and approximate time of day to come in, and a seecond choice. Plus I need to know what you wanted to get pierced.)

Don't delay! I often book up weeks or sometimes even months in advance of the actual piercing dates. So it isn't too soon to let me know if you're interested in making an appointment. You can use the Contact page to get in touch with me.

Note that I specialize in nipple and genital piercings (exclusively).

If you have questions, just ask!

Great Reviews for The Piercing Bible (Body Piercing Book) on Amazon.com

Well, this is a milestone for The Piercing Bible: my book has received over 100 reviews on Amazon.com, resulting in a 5-star average, which is SO fantastic!

Thanks to each of my readers who provided a positive review on that site (or any other). Below is a shot of the Amazon page.

But, I wanted to let everyone know how disappointed I am in Amazon.com. They refused to give me an affiliate account so that I could receive a small portion of the proceeds when someone purchased a copy of my book by clicking through from my website. They declined because my website contains what they consider to be "adult content."

I spoke with a manager and made my appeal for the educational nature of my site (it isn't porn--not that there's anything wrong with adult media, but that simply isn't what my book or website is about). Still they said they could not allow me to have an account to sell the book from my website, which covers the same topics that are contained in the text. Yet they sell the book. I don't think that makes any sense....

I appreciate reviews there, since it is such a popular website; however, I do have a request:

Guest Blog - 10 Tips for Choosing Underwear for Pierced Male Genitals

Now that you've made the decision to go for a popular Prince Albert piercing, or maybe the delicate Guiche, you may wonder what to look for in underwear for pierced male genitals. Is it better to use loose underwear? Or how about fitted underwear? What about mesh fabrics? Do you have to use the same type of underwear throughout the entire healing process? Is there any style of underwear that's better for Ampallang or Apadravya piercings?

Types of male genital piercings

A) Prince Albert B) Apadravya C) Guiche D) Hafada

Our answers should shed some light on your attitudes towards choosing different styles of underwear after getting a male genital piercing. As any professional piercer will tell you, the style of underwear to use must take several factors into consideration. Among these you should consider the exact physical location of the piercing, the expected amount of bleeding from the piercing location, the sensitivity and swelling of the pierced area, the possibility of trauma or impact while healing, and even your work or lifestyle.

Help For Piercing Problems (and more)

You probably wouldn't even believe how many messages I get on a daily basis from people who have questions and concerns about piercings and nowhere to find reliable and factual information. So, I have been offering "online consults" regarding anatomical suitability for body piercings, and for people who are experiencing piercing problems.

In order to faciliate this process, I've had new, easy-to-use forms created for this website.

For an anatomy consult, visit this page: http://www.piercingbible.com/anatomy-consultations

For a piercing problem consult, go to this one: http://www.piercingbible.com/piercing-problem-consultation

You simply fill out all of the fields and click the "Book a Consultation" button, which will bring you to PayPal, where you can pay the $10.00 fee using a credit card or your PayPal account. It doesn't get easier than that!

I do always say that if you feel your piercer is competent, it is best to visit them, as they can see you in person. However, my experience shows that many people do not have access to top-notch piercing services, and they end up needing expert help. And that's what I'm here for.

Navel Piercing Problems: "Granuloma" or "Hypergranulation Tissue"?

I received a message from a woman who has an unhealed navel piercing that is showing signs of developing granuloma:

Hi! My navel piercing is about 2 and a half months old. I irritated it at first from playing with it (I know-big no no) but it cleared up when I stopped touching it and cleaned with H2Ocean. I quickly ran out of the solution and stopped cleaning it about a month ago. I ocassionally do sea salt soaks but only when it flares up. I've been taking my ring out a lot lately (another no no) and I recently (about 2 days ago) noticed this pink/red fleshy bubble/growth coming out of the bottom hole of my navel piercing. It is squishy, moves easily, doesn't hurt, but bleeds easily. It looks a lot worse than it feels. It secretes lymph and often sticks itself to the bottom ball on my ring. I ordered some H2Ocean and tea tree oil the other day to try and get rid of it. For now, I put 3% hydrogen peroxide on it 2x a day and do a sea salt soak. I just don't know whether it is a granuloma or hypergranulation? It freaks me out because it's kind of large. Probably half the size of a pea. What can I do to make it go away? How long will it take? Will I have to abandon my piercing? I love it and I don't want to take it out!!! I have attached quite a few pictures!

Thank you so much! -A
